Highest Individual Scores of Nicholas Pooran in IPL | Top 5

Date:

Nicholas Pooran was offered his maiden IPL contract way back in 2017. Mumbai Indians picked him up for ₹30 lakh. However, after warming the bench, his IPL prospects looked dim when he went unsold in the 2018 mega auction. Soon after, however, he made tremendous progress in international cricket, and his brand value rose.

Pooran has produced some stellar IPL knocks that have delighted cricket fans who had hoped the left-handed batter would make big runs and backed him on an IPL betting site. This blog will look at Pooran’s highest individual scores in the IPL.

5 Highest Individual Scores of Nicholas Pooran in IPL

Pooran has played some stellar knocks in IPL since his debut in the 2019 season. A 37-ball 77 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2020 edition is the best score in the ten-team league. It was a knock that showcased his abilities and helped a few betting enthusiasts grab exciting rewards on online cricket betting platforms.

Here are the highest individual scores of Pooran in IPL:

77 (37) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (IPL 2020):

The wicketkeeper-batter, representing Kings XI Punjab, produced a brilliant 77 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2020 season. Pooran struck seven sixes and five fours on his way to his biggest score in IPL. But the knock didn’t help his team’s fortunes, as the Mohali-based franchise succumbed to a 69-run defeat while chasing 201.

64*(33) vs Chennai Super Kings (IPL 2022):

This gallant effort in the 2022 season saw Pooran hit six sixes and three boundaries. Chennai Super Kings posted 202/2 after batting first. It was a stiff challenge, and SRH went for it. Pooran walked in at 88/3. At this stage, he needed to hang around before going for the kill. The Caribbean cricketer almost threatened to take the game away when the overs ran out. He was left stranded at 64, and so was SRH, who lost the match by 13 runs.

64*(42) vs Rajasthan Royals (IPL 2024):

Pooran played a heartening knock of 64* against Rajasthan Royals in the 2024 season. RR posted a challenging 193/4 after winning the toss. The visiting Lucknow Super Giants lost a couple of wickets early, leaving a mountain to climb for the middle-order batters. Pooran stitched together an 85-run stand with KL Rahul. But eventually, the Super Giants fell short by 20 runs. The former West Indies struck four sixes and an equal number of fours.

62 (34) vs Delhi Capitals  (IPL 2022):

In the 2022 season, Pooran again found himself in a run chase. Delhi Capitals set Sunrisers Hyderabad 208 to win at Brabourne Stadium. The Sunrisers were at 37-3 when Pooran came to the middle. He took on the Capitals bowlers, slamming six sixes and two fours. However, the hard-hitting batter lacked support from the other end and was eventually out for 62. SRH lost the match by 21 runs.

62 (19) vs RCB (IPL 2023):

In 2023, while turning up for Lucknow Super Giants, Pooran played a blinder of a knock to silence the home crowd at Chinnaswamy Stadium. While chasing 213, the match was slowly slipping away from the visitors. Pooran came to the crease and changed the course of the game with sheer brute force. He smashed seven sixes and four fours, scoring 62 at a strike rate of 326.31. By the time he departed, the Super Giants were in a good position and eventually won the match off the last ball.
